Team Invitation Issues

Fix problems sending workspace invitations and help members accept invites successfully.

Solutions for common problems when sending or receiving team member invitations.

Sending Invitations

Invite Member Button is Disabled

The Invite Member button appears grayed out and cannot be clicked.

You've reached your workspace's seat limit based on your subscription plan.

Solution:

  1. Go to SettingsWorkspaceBillingAdd-ons.
  2. Click Add Team Seats to purchase additional seats.
  3. Alternatively, remove inactive team members to free up seats.
  4. Once you have available seats, the button will become active.

Each subscription plan includes a specific number of team member seats. You need an available seat to send new invitations.

Invited User Didn't Receive the Email

You sent an invitation, but the recipient says they never received it.

Solution:

  1. Ask them to check their spam or junk folder.
  2. Verify you entered the correct email address in the invitation.
  3. Resend the invitation by following these steps:
    • Go to SettingsWorkspaceTeam.
    • Find the pending invitation.
    • Click Revoke.
    • Send a new invitation with the correct email.
  4. Ask them to log into Firebuzz at app.getfirebuzz.com and check their account notifications.

Invitation emails sometimes get filtered by spam systems. Always ask recipients to check their spam folder first.

Invitation Expired Before User Could Accept

A team member tried to accept an invitation, but it shows as expired.

Invitations expire after a set period for security reasons.

Solution:

  1. Go to SettingsWorkspaceTeam.
  2. Find the expired invitation.
  3. Click Revoke to remove it.
  4. Send a new invitation to the same email address.
  5. Ask the recipient to accept it promptly.

Cannot Invite Specific Email Address

You try to invite someone, but receive an error about the email address.

Solution:

  1. Verify the email address isn't already a member of your workspace.
  2. Check if there's already a pending invitation for that email address.
  3. Confirm the email format is valid (contains @ and a domain).
  4. If the user has a Firebuzz account with a different email, ask them which email they prefer to use.
  5. Try typing the email again carefully to avoid typos.
