Switching Between Workspaces

Cannot See Expected Workspace

A workspace you expect to see isn't appearing in the workspace dropdown menu.

Solution:

Check the following common causes:

  1. Not invited yet: Ask the workspace Owner to send you an invitation.
  2. Invitation not accepted: Check your email for pending invitations and accept them.
  3. Removed from workspace: Contact the workspace admin to confirm your access status.
  4. Browser cache: Clear your browser cache and refresh the page.
  5. Account mismatch: Verify you're logged in with the correct email address.

You can only see workspaces where you're an active member. Pending invitations must be accepted before the workspace appears in your list.

Workspace Switch Not Taking Effect

You click on a workspace in the dropdown, but you still see data from the old workspace.

Solution:

  1. Hard refresh your browser using RefreshCtrl+R (or Cmd+R on Mac).
  2. Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  3. Check your internet connection is stable.
  4. Try logging out completely and logging back in.
  5. Close all browser tabs and reopen Firebuzz.
  6. Contact support if the issue persists after these steps.

Look at the workspace name in the top navigation bar to confirm which workspace you're currently viewing.

Lost Project Context After Switching

After switching workspaces, you're asked to select a project again even though you had one selected.

This is expected behavior. Projects belong to specific workspaces, so your project selection is cleared when you switch.

Why this happens:

  • Projects are workspace-specific and cannot carry over.
  • Your previous project selection is intentionally cleared.
  • This prevents confusion and accidental edits to projects in the wrong workspace.

Workaround:

Bookmark direct links to projects you frequently access:

https://app.getfirebuzz.com/[workspace-id]/[project-id]

This lets you jump directly to a specific project in a specific workspace without manually selecting each time.

Permission Errors After Switching

Features you could access in one workspace are unavailable in another workspace.

This is expected. Your role may differ between workspaces.

Solution:

  1. Check your role in the current workspace. Go to SettingsWorkspaceTeam.
  2. Note that you might be an Admin in one workspace and a Member in another.
  3. Members have restricted access compared to Admins and Owners.
  4. Contact the workspace Owner or Admin if you need elevated permissions.

Each workspace has independent team structures. Being an Admin in Workspace A doesn't make you an Admin in Workspace B.

Workspace Dropdown Not Loading

The workspace switcher dropdown is empty or won't open.

Solution:

  1. Refresh the page using RefreshCtrl+R.
  2. Clear your browser cache.
  3. Check your internet connection.
  4. Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari recommended).
  5. Log out and log back in.
  6. Contact support if the dropdown remains broken.
