Roles & Permissions
Understand different user roles and permission levels in workspaces.
Firebuzz uses a role-based permission system to control what team members can do in your workspace. Each member is assigned one of three roles: Owner, Admin, or Member.
Understanding the Three Roles
Owner
Full control over the workspace. Can manage billing, delete workspace, and promote/demote admins.
Admin
Manage team members and workspace settings. Cannot delete workspace or manage billing.
Member
Create and work on content. Cannot manage team or access workspace settings.
Owner
The Owner is the person who created the workspace and has complete control.
- Only one owner per workspace
- Cannot be changed or removed
- Only role that can delete the workspace
- Can manage billing and subscriptions
- Can promote or demote admins
The owner role cannot be transferred. Contact Firebuzz support if you need to change workspace ownership.
Admin
Admins have extensive permissions but cannot perform owner-level actions.
- Can invite and remove team members (Members only)
- Can manage workspace settings (name, logo)
- Full access to all workspace content
- Cannot delete workspace or manage billing
- Cannot promote others to Admin or demote Admins
Member
Members have basic access to create and work on campaigns.
- Can view and work on projects
- Can create campaigns, landing pages, and forms
- Can view analytics and reports
- Cannot manage team or workspace settings

Subscription Plans and Team Size
Team collaboration features depend on your subscription plan:
Pro Plan (1 member):
- Single user workspace
- No team collaboration features
Scale Plan (3 members) & Agency Plan (7+ members):
- Multiple team members with role-based permissions
- Full team collaboration features
- Purchase additional seats as add-ons if needed
You can begin with Pro and upgrade to Scale or Agency when you're ready to add team members.
How to View Team Member Roles
- Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar
- Click Workspace in the settings menu
- Select the Team tab
Each team member has their role badge displayed next to their name.
Only owners and admins can access the team management page. Members see their role in profile settings.
Role Change Restrictions
The owner role cannot be changed:
- The workspace creator is always the owner
- Only the owner can delete the workspace
Only the owner can manage admins:
- Promoting a member to admin requires owner permission
- Demoting an admin to member requires owner permission
- Admins cannot promote themselves or other members to admin
