Presence Indicators
See who else is viewing a campaign in real-time with presence avatars.
Presence indicators show which team members are currently viewing the same campaign as you. This helps coordinate work and avoid confusion when multiple people work on the same content.
Where Presence Indicators Appear
Presence indicators display in the campaign tabs header when you're viewing a campaign. You'll see them when working on:
- Campaign flow
- Landing pages
- Data & forms
- Analytics
Understanding the Display
Avatar Row
The presence display shows profile pictures of team members currently viewing the campaign:
Key features of the avatar display:
- Up to 5 avatars display directly in the row
- Each avatar shows the team member's profile picture or initials
- Avatars overlap slightly to save space
- When more than 5 members are viewing, a +N badge shows additional viewers
Online Status
Each avatar has a small status indicator at the bottom-right:
- Green dot: Currently online and viewing this campaign
- Gray dot: Recently viewed but now offline or on another page
Hover Tooltip
Hover over any avatar to see:
- The team member's name
- Their status: "Online now" or how long ago they were last active (e.g., "5 minutes ago")
Overflow Menu
When more than 5 team members are viewing, clicking the +N badge reveals a dropdown:
Each entry shows their avatar, name, and online status
How It Works
Presence tracking uses a heartbeat system:
- When you open a campaign, your presence is registered.
- Your browser sends periodic updates to confirm you're still viewing.
- When you navigate away or close the tab, your presence is removed.
- Other team members see your status update in real-time.
Presence updates happen automatically. You don't need to do anything to appear online to your team.
What Presence Does NOT Show
Presence indicators are designed to show awareness, not detailed activity:
- No cursor tracking: You won't see where others are clicking or editing.
- No live typing: Changes aren't shown in real-time as others make them.
- No specific location: You only know someone is viewing the campaign, not which exact section.
Use presence indicators to know when teammates are working on the same campaign. If you need to coordinate specific changes, communicate directly through your team's chat or video tools.
Privacy Considerations
- Your presence is only visible to other members of the same workspace.
- Presence only shows when viewing campaigns, not other areas of the app.
- There's no way to hide your presence or go "invisible."
