Common Issues
Cannot Sign In with Google or GitHub
You are unable to complete OAuth sign-in with your social account.
Solution:

Check your browser settings:
- Ensure third-party cookies are enabled
- Disable any extensions that block pop-ups or OAuth redirects
- Try incognito or private browsing mode

Verify your account:
- Make sure you are using the correct Google or GitHub account
- If you previously signed up with email, use that method instead
- Check if your social account email matches your Firebuzz account

Clear browser data:
- Clear cookies and site data for firebuzz.com
- Close all browser windows and try again
If you see an "Account already exists" error, you may have previously signed up with a different method (email vs social). Try the other sign-in option.
Email Verification Code Not Received
You are not receiving the 6-digit OTP code during email sign-up or sign-in.
Solution:
- Check your spam or junk folder, as verification emails sometimes get filtered
- Wait a few minutes, as emails can be delayed up to 5 minutes
- Verify your email address to ensure you typed it correctly
- Request a new code by clicking Resend on the verification page
- Check email filters and add no-reply@firebuzz.com to your contacts
OTP codes expire after 10 minutes. If your code expired, request a new one rather than retrying the old code.
Session Expired Error
You are suddenly logged out or see a "Session expired" message.
Solution:
- Sign in again, as sessions expire after extended inactivity for security
- Check your internet connection, as unstable connections can interrupt sessions
- Clear browser cookies, as corrupted session cookies can cause issues
- Close other browser tabs, as multiple Firebuzz tabs can conflict
Enable "Remember me" during sign-in to keep your session active longer, especially if you frequently experience session timeouts.
Account Appears Locked
Your sign-in attempts are being rejected even with the correct credentials.
Solution:
After multiple failed sign-in attempts, accounts may be temporarily locked for security:
- Wait 15-30 minutes, as the lockout is temporary
- Reset your password if you have a password set by requesting a reset
- Use a different sign-in method by trying OAuth instead of email, or vice versa
- Contact support at support@firebuzz.com if locked for more than an hour
Signed Into Wrong Account
You are logged into a different account than expected.
Solution:

Sign out completely:
- Click your avatar in the bottom left
- Select Log out

Clear browser cookies for firebuzz.com

Sign in with the correct account:
- Use the appropriate email or social account
- Double-check which account is selected during OAuth
Password Not Working
Your password is being rejected but you are sure it is correct.
Solution:
- Check caps lock, as passwords are case-sensitive
- Try copy-paste to avoid typing errors by pasting from a password manager
- Reset your password:
- Go to Settings > Account > Security
- Click Send Reset Email
- Follow the link in your email to set a new password
If you signed up with OAuth only, you may not have a password set. Use social sign-in, or set a password in Settings > Account > Security.
