Common Errors
Solutions for frequently encountered error messages and how to resolve them.
Encountering an error message? Here's what common errors mean and how to fix them.
Network and Connection Errors
Network Connection Error
You see "Network error" or "Failed to fetch" messages when trying to perform actions.
Solution:
- Check your internet connection by testing other websites
- Refresh the page by pressing
Ctrl+R(Windows) orCmd+R(Mac) - Disable VPN temporarily, as some VPNs can interfere with Firebuzz connections
- Check firewall settings to ensure firebuzz.com is not blocked
- Try a different network by switching from WiFi to mobile data to test
Network errors are typically temporary. If they persist after trying these steps, the issue may be with your network configuration or ISP.
Request Timeout
Actions are timing out before completing, showing timeout error messages.
Solution:
- Wait and retry, as high server load can cause temporary delays
- Reduce operation size if uploading large files or making complex operations
- Check network speed using a speed test tool
- Try again during off-peak hours when there is less traffic
Permission and Access Errors
Permission Denied
You are blocked from accessing a feature or performing an action.
Solution:
-
Check your role, as some actions are restricted to specific roles:
- Owner — Full access to all features
- Admin — Can manage most settings
- Member — Limited to content creation
-
Verify your workspace to ensure you are not in the wrong one
-
Contact your admin to request the appropriate permissions
-
Check your subscription, as some features require paid plans
Go to Settings > Workspace > Team to check your current role and permissions.
Resource Not Found
You see a 404 error or "Not found" message when trying to access a resource.
Solution:
- Check the URL to ensure you are accessing a valid address
- The resource may have been deleted (campaign, page, or asset might have been removed)
- Switch workspaces, as the resource may be in a different workspace
- Clear browser cache, as cached URLs may point to old resources
Session and Authentication Errors
Session Expired
Your session has timed out and you need to sign in again.
Solution:
- Sign in again, as sessions expire for security after inactivity
- Enable "Remember me" to keep your session active longer
- Check browser settings to ensure cookies are not being cleared automatically
Unauthorized Access
You are trying to access something you do not have permission for.
Solution:
- Verify you are logged in, as your session may have expired
- Check workspace membership, as you may have been removed
- Request access by contacting the workspace owner or admin
Rate Limiting Errors
Too Many Requests
You are seeing rate limit or "slow down" messages.
Solution:
- Wait a few minutes, as rate limits reset quickly
- Reduce request frequency by avoiding rapid clicking or refreshing
- Do not automate requests, as scripted requests are rate limited more strictly
Rate limiting protects the platform and ensures fair usage for everyone. Normal use should never trigger these limits.
Data and Validation Errors
Validation Failed
Your input does not meet the requirements.
Solution:
- Check required fields to ensure all mandatory fields are filled
- Review format requirements for emails, URLs, and other fields with specific formats
- Check character limits, as some fields have maximum lengths
- Remove special characters if fields do not accept certain characters
Save Failed
Your changes could not be saved.
Solution:
- Check your connection, as saves require an active internet connection
- Retry the save, as temporary issues often resolve quickly
- Copy your content before refreshing to preserve any unsaved work
- Check for conflicts, as another user may have edited the same resource
If you see a conflict error, another team member may have saved changes to the same resource. Review their changes before overwriting.
