Canceling Add-ons
Learn how to remove extra seats, projects, or credit add-ons from your Firebuzz subscription.
You can cancel add-ons at any time when you no longer need the extra resources. This guide explains the cancellation process and what happens to your access.
How to Cancel Add-ons
Canceling Extra Seats
To remove extra seat add-ons:
- Go to Settings
- Click Subscription
- Navigate to the Plan tab
- Find the Extra Seats card
- Click Manage
- Reduce the quantity to your desired number (or 0 to cancel all)
- Review the change summary
- Click Confirm
Seat reductions take effect at the end of your billing cycle. You retain full seat access until then.
Canceling Extra Projects
To remove extra project add-ons:
- Go to Settings
- Click Subscription
- Navigate to the Plan tab
- Find the Extra Projects card
- Click Manage
- Reduce the quantity to your desired number (or 0 to cancel all)
- Review the change summary
- Click Confirm
Canceling Recurring Credit Top-ups
If you have a recurring credit add-on:
- Go to Settings
- Click Subscription
- Navigate to the Plan tab
- Find the recurring credit add-on card
- Click Manage
- Select cancel or reduce quantity
- Confirm your change
One-time credit purchases cannot be "canceled" because they're not recurring. You simply use the credits until they're depleted.
When Cancellation Takes Effect
Recurring Add-ons (Seats & Projects)
When you cancel or reduce recurring add-ons:
- Immediate confirmation — Your request is processed right away
- Access until period end — You keep the add-ons until your billing cycle ends
- No charge next cycle — Canceled add-ons won't appear on your next invoice
- No partial refunds — You've already paid for the current period
Recurring Credit Add-ons
- Same billing cycle rules as seats and projects
- Credits received this period remain usable
- No new credits allocated next period
What Happens to Resources
Extra Seats Canceled
When seat add-ons are removed:
- Your seat limit decreases at period end
- If you have more team members than seats:
- Firebuzz prompts you to remove members
- You must reduce team size before period end
- Team members remain active until you manually remove them
Remove team members before your seat add-ons expire to avoid access issues. Firebuzz does not automatically remove anyone.
Extra Projects Canceled
When project add-ons are removed:
- Your project limit decreases at period end
- If you have more projects than allowed:
- You must archive or delete projects
- You cannot create new projects while over limit
- Existing projects remain accessible for data retrieval
Credits Canceled
When you cancel recurring credit add-ons:
- Credits already received are yours to use
- No new credits will be added next cycle
- Unused top-up credits can carry over (until subscription ends)
Before You Cancel
Consider these alternatives:
Pause Instead of Cancel
If you need add-ons temporarily, you might want to keep them active and cancel later rather than re-purchasing.
Downgrade Quantity
Instead of canceling all seats or projects, reduce the quantity to match your actual needs.
Upgrade Your Plan
If add-ons are costing more than an upgrade, switching to a higher plan might provide better value.
Refund Policy
All sales are final. Canceling add-ons does not result in a refund for the current billing period. You retain access until the end of your paid period.
