TroubleshootingCampaign Issues

Campaign Not Publishing

Resolve issues preventing your campaign from being published successfully.

Unable to publish your campaign? Here's how to identify and resolve common publishing blockers.

Publishing requires that your campaign flow is valid, all landing pages are assigned, and your domain is properly configured.

Issues and Solutions

Missing Landing Page

Your campaign requires at least one landing page, but none is assigned to your variants.

Solution:

  1. Open your campaign and navigate to the Flow tab
  2. Review all variant nodes in your flow
  3. Look for variant nodes showing "No page assigned"
  4. Click on each empty variant node
  5. Click Select Landing Page to choose an existing page, or Create Landing Page to generate a new one
  6. Ensure the selected landing page is published and not in draft state

Create landing pages directly from the flow editor for faster campaign setup.

Flow Validation Errors

Your campaign flow has configuration problems preventing publication.

Solution:

  1. Navigate to the Flow tab
  2. Look for nodes with warning or error icons
  3. Check for disconnected nodes that aren't connected to the main flow path
  4. Verify your flow has exactly one start node
  5. Review segment rules for incomplete configurations
  6. Connect or delete any orphaned nodes

For detailed flow error solutions, see Flow Validation Errors.

Domain Not Configured

Your campaign needs a verified domain before you can publish to production.

Solution:

  1. Navigate to Brand then Domains
  2. If you haven't added a domain yet, click Add Domain
  3. Follow the DNS configuration instructions provided
  4. Wait for domain verification (DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours)
  5. Verify the domain status shows Published
  6. Return to your campaign settings and select your verified domain

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate globally. Wait for full verification before publishing to production.

Insufficient Permissions

You don't have the necessary permissions to publish campaigns in this workspace.

Solution:

  1. Navigate to Settings then Workspace
  2. Click the Team tab
  3. Check your assigned role
  4. Publishing requires the Admin or Owner role
  5. If you're a Member, contact your workspace administrator to request elevated permissions

Landing Page Still Processing

The AI is still generating or processing your landing page content.

Solution:

  1. Check the landing page status in your project
  2. Look for the Generating... indicator
  3. Wait for the generation process to complete (typically 30-90 seconds)
  4. If the page remains stuck for more than 5 minutes, refresh the page
  5. If generation fails, click Regenerate to try again
  6. Alternatively, switch to design mode to manually complete any incomplete elements

AI generation typically completes within 30-90 seconds. If processing exceeds 5 minutes, try regenerating the page.

Preview vs Production Publishing

Understanding the difference between preview and production environments:

Preview Publishing:

  • Deploys to a test URL
  • Private preview environment
  • Analytics tracked separately
  • Safe for testing before going live

Production Publishing:

  • Deploys to your custom domain
  • Public-facing, live content
  • Counted in production analytics
  • URL shared with customers

Production publishing cannot be easily reversed. Always test thoroughly in preview mode first.

Pre-Publish Checklist

Before publishing to production, verify:

  • All variant nodes have assigned landing pages
  • Flow has no validation errors or warnings
  • Domain is configured and shows verified status
  • Landing pages have complete content (no placeholder text)
  • Campaign has been tested in preview mode
  • Segment rules are configured correctly
  • Analytics tracking is enabled
