The AI is not responding to your requests? Here is how to diagnose and resolve connection issues, initialization problems, and unresponsive AI behavior.

The AI editor uses a cloud sandbox to make changes safely. The first interaction of each session takes 10-30 seconds while the sandbox initializes.

Troubleshooting Issues

AI Chat Shows No Response

You sent a message in the AI chat but nothing happens, and the AI does not acknowledge your request.

Solution:

  1. Check the sandbox connection status indicator in the editor.
  2. Wait for the status to show Connected before sending messages.
  3. If the first request of your session, allow 10-30 seconds for initialization.
  4. If stuck for over 1 minute, refresh the page using Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
  5. Verify your internet connection is stable by testing other websites.

Your work is auto-saved. Refreshing the page will not cause data loss.

Sandbox Won't Connect

The sandbox status repeatedly shows disconnected, or the connection indicator never reaches the Connected state.

Solution:

  1. Wait a moment for automatic reconnection (the system attempts this automatically).
  2. Force refresh your browser using Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
  3. Check for browser or network issues:
    • Disable VPN or proxy temporarily
    • Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
    • Verify WebSocket connections are not blocked
  4. Test from a different network (mobile data or different WiFi) to rule out corporate firewall restrictions.

Corporate firewalls may block sandbox connections. Contact your IT team to whitelist Firebuzz domains.

Message Sends But No Generation

The AI acknowledges your request in the chat but does not produce any visible output or changes to your landing page.

Solution:

  1. Go to Settings then Subscription then click Usage to verify you have available AI credits.
  2. Simplify your request into smaller, more specific tasks (complex requests may fail silently).
  3. Rephrase your prompt with different wording and more specific details about what you want.
  4. Test with a simple request like "Add a heading that says Hello" to verify the AI is working.

Responses Very Slow

The AI is generating content but taking much longer than expected to complete.

Solution:

  1. Understand expected timing:
    • Simple edits: 5-15 seconds
    • Section changes: 15-30 seconds
    • Full page generation: 30-60 seconds
  2. Wait for the current request to complete before sending additional messages.
  3. During peak usage times, responses may be slower (try again during off-peak hours).
  4. Reduce request scope by asking for specific sections instead of "redesign everything."

Do not send additional messages while the AI is generating. This can interrupt the process and cause errors.

AI Stopped Mid-Generation

Generation started but did not complete, leaving your page in a partial or incomplete state.

Solution:

  1. Wait an additional 30-60 seconds (large changes have multiple steps that may still be processing).
  2. Check the chat for error messages that indicate what went wrong.
  3. Retry the same or a similar request.
  4. Use the version history to revert to a working version if needed.
  5. Try a different, simpler approach to achieve the same goal.

Prevention Tips

Follow these best practices to avoid AI responsiveness issues:

  • Use a stable, high-speed internet connection
  • Keep requests focused on one specific task at a time
  • Be patient with initial sandbox startup (10-30 seconds is normal)
  • Refresh the page if stuck for over a minute
  • Monitor your AI credit usage regularly
