Best Practices
Use Google Tag Manager
GTM provides flexibility to add and modify tags without touching your landing pages.

Always verify tracking works in a preview or staging environment.

Review and update tracking configurations when you change campaigns or add new integrations.
Respect Privacy
Ensure your tracking complies with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA). Firebuzz includes built-in GDPR compliance features—see GDPR Configuration to enable cookie consent management.
Troubleshooting
Tags Not Firing
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Missing data in analytics | Verify the ID is correct and the page is published |
| GTM not loading | Check the Container ID format (GTM-XXXXXXX) |
| Pixel not tracking | Verify the Pixel ID and check for ad blockers |
Duplicate Tracking
If you're seeing duplicate events:
- Check if the tag is in both GTM and directly configured
- Ensure you're not loading the same tag multiple times
