Restoring Versions

Learn how to restore your landing page to a previous version.

If you've made changes you want to undo, or need to go back to an earlier design, you can restore your landing page to any saved version with just one click.

How to Restore a Version

  1. Open your landing page in the editor
  2. Click the History tab
  3. Find the version you want to restore
  4. Click the Restore button on that version

That's it! Your landing page is immediately restored to the selected version.

Restoring a version replaces your current page content. Don't worry—your current state is automatically saved in history, so you can always go back.

What Gets Restored

When you restore a version, you're restoring:

  • All HTML content and structure
  • All CSS styling
  • Theme settings
  • Component configurations

SEO and tracking settings may be managed separately.

The Restoration Process

Preview Before Restoring

Before restoring, preview the version to confirm it's the right one:

  1. Hover over the version in the history panel
  2. Check the preview thumbnail
  3. Verify this is the state you want

One-Click Restore

Click the Restore button on any version entry. The restoration happens instantly:

  • The preview updates to the restored version
  • You can continue editing from this state
  • Your previous state is automatically saved in history

Since every change is tracked automatically, you can freely restore versions knowing you can always get back to any previous state.

After Restoration

Once restored:

  • Continue editing: The restored version is now your working copy
  • Make further changes: Use the AI or Design Mode as normal
  • Undo the restore: If needed, restore to the version that was current before

Your current state (before restoration) is saved in history, so you can always go back.

Common Restoration Scenarios

"The AI changed too much"

If an AI change wasn't what you wanted:

  1. Go to History
  2. Find the version before the unwanted change
  3. Restore it
  4. Provide clearer instructions to the AI

"I liked the design from last week"

To go back to an earlier design phase:

  1. Go to History
  2. Scroll to find the desired date/design
  3. Preview to confirm
  4. Restore

"I want to compare approaches"

To try a different direction while keeping your current work:

  1. Note your current version's position in history
  2. Restore to an earlier version
  3. Make alternative changes
  4. You can restore back to your original if needed

Best Practices

Preview Before Restoring

Always preview the version to ensure it's the right one.

Note Your Reasoning

After restoring, consider adding a chat message explaining why ("Restoring to pre-testimonial version for client review").

Test After Restoration

Verify the page works as expected after restoration, especially for interactive elements.
