Templates and Themes

Understand how templates and themes work together to create your landing page design.

When creating a landing page, you select both a template and a theme. These work together to define your page's structure and visual style.

Templates

Templates are pre-built landing page designs that serve as your starting point. Each template includes:

  • Layout structure: How sections are arranged on the page
  • Components: Pre-configured sections like hero, features, testimonials, CTAs
  • Content placeholders: Example text and images you'll customize

Choosing the Right Template

Consider these factors when selecting a template:

Campaign Goal

Lead generation templates emphasize forms. Click-through templates focus on CTAs.

Content Amount

Some templates are minimal, others include many sections. Match your content needs.

Visual Style

Preview the layout style—modern, minimal, bold, or professional.

Templates provide a starting point. The AI editor allows you to completely transform the design after creation.

Themes

Themes control the color scheme of your landing page. A theme includes:

  • Primary color: Main accent color for buttons and highlights
  • Secondary color: Supporting color for backgrounds and borders
  • Accent color: Additional highlight color
  • Background color: Base page background
  • Light and dark variants: Colors optimized for both modes

Theme Colors

When you select a theme, you'll see color swatches showing the main colors:

Brand Default Theme

Your workspace has brand settings where you can define a default theme. When creating a new landing page, this default theme is automatically selected.

Create themes in Brand > Themes to maintain consistent branding across all your landing pages.

How They Work Together

  1. Template defines the structure and layout
  2. Theme provides the color scheme
  3. AI Editor lets you customize everything else

When you create a landing page:

  1. The template's HTML structure is applied
  2. Theme colors are injected as CSS variables
  3. The result is your starting point in the editor

Changing After Creation

Colors (Theme)

You can change colors anytime using Design Mode:

  1. Enter Design Mode in the editor
  2. Click Theme to access the theme editor
  3. Adjust primary, secondary, accent, and other colors

Layout (Template)

While you can't "switch templates" after creation, you can:

  • Ask the AI to add, remove, or rearrange sections
  • Have the AI redesign portions of or the entire page
  • Use the AI to match a different style
